Due to the close proximity of the play area for the children the excavation works to accommodate the equipment was carried out after school hours.
All delivery's were arranged with the schools approval and extra supervision was provided to ensure the children were kept safe throughout the construction work.
The jungle mulch to the area surrounding the swing was laid as an alternative to EPDM safety surfacing, which was layed around the new Lappset unit, due to the nature of the different textures and to keep the costs down as this could be laid over existing ground conditions.
